Job overview

To undertake a range of secretarial duties for those responsible for overseeing the Learning Disability and Autism work within Corporate Nursing Directorate. Duties are subject to job evaluation review.

Main duties of the job

Supporting the developing Learning Disability and Autism team (LDA) by providing a high-quality administrative service, processing data and other information vital to the smooth running of service. To work co-operatively with other Team members to achieve common goals. The post holder will also proactively identify any area of improvement and development of administrative and clerical support systems and procedures, consistent with a modern, professional mental health service. The post-holder will be required to manage their work under minimal supervision, using their own judgment in prioritizing their workload to achieve the expected outcome.

The post holder will act as a focal point of contact for the team and will be responsible for dissemination of messages, information and enquiries to the team as well as liaising with other professionals both inside and outside of the Trust.

Essential

Essential criteria
  • Qualification in office and administration skills or equivalent experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Package – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Publisher
  • Significant knowledge and experience in providing senior administrative support, as well as reporting and analysis of information.
  • Able to work in a team setting
Desirable criteria
  • PA Diploma/Diploma in Business Administration
