Job overview

Nurse Associate- Fixed Term contract- 12 Months 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Nursing Associate who has completed the TNA programme to join our Kingswinford District nursing team within Dudley Community Services for 12 months.   

We want people who are committed to delivering high standards of care, are able to work as part of a team player, but also have the confidence to work independently without direct supervision. 

The successful candidate will provide nursing care to patients within their own homes and in clinic settings. 

You must have effective communication and interpersonal skills, be prepared to work flexibly and collaboratively to meet the needs of the service and demonstrate a willingness to extend and develop your existing skills 

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will be responsible for the ongoing assessment of care needs and the development and implementation and evaluation of care under supervision of a registered nurse.

  • Developing and maintaining effective communication networks with other health professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies, within MDT / ICT model of care.

  • Attending and participating in staff meetings, case conferences and other meetings as directed.
  • Accurately and timely recording of all care given to the patients and report any changes in the patient’s condition to the general practitioner or other members of the health / social care team.
  • Providing and maintaining a high standard of skilled nursing care for patients in their homes, using a nursing model of care and within own scope of practice and legislation
