Job overview
To provide highly specialist skills and expertise, facilitating diagnostic assessments and interventions of the highest quality in the field of neurodevelopmental conditions and mental health.
To be responsible in the role of Specialist Practitioner for the assessment and co-ordination of the care needs for those Young People under the care of SOLAR/Crisis with ASD.
To Plan and implement evidence-based care/interventions for Young People with a diagnosis of ASD/LD who are at risk of admission to hospital
Main duties of the job
· To work autonomously within the professional guidelines and exercise responsibility in accordance with the trust policies and procedures. · Will manage a defined caseload within M-Power and provide supervision to others as appropriate. · Will be responsible for the assessment, planning and evaluation of care within agreed parameters. · Will have highly developed skills in assessing the needs of young people with neurodevelopmental conditions and their carers based on the analysis of highly complex facts and situations. Interventions will be planned based on the assessment information and interpretation of this. The clinical assessment will include gathering appropriate historical information and obtaining relevant information from other agencies.

Essential criteria
- Core professional qualification to mental health
- Camhs experience
- Experience of working with CYP with ASD/LD
- Crisis experience
Desirable criteria
- Camhs specialist training
- Professional registration with regulatory body
- Experience of working in a mental health setting
- Supervisory and leadership skills
