MDT Co-ordinator

Job overview
The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of all administration associated with the diabetes MDT teams. As a core member of the Diabetes team, the post holder will be required to engage with and work alongside healthcare professionals and administrative staff, working across the patient journey including primary and secondary care.
- Provide comprehensive administration for allocated MDT, including responsibility for Integration of Service Improvement.
Main duties of the job
- To co-ordinate and attend allocated Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (MDT), ensuring all appropriate patients are timetabled for discussion and the relevant patient notes and results are available.
- Draw up clinical case agenda from positive histological/radiological diagnosis reports liaising with other Trusts and Tertiary Centres.
- Record minutes of the MDT during meeting and maintain a register of attendance.
- Ensure all follow-up plans recommended by the team are recorded in the patient’s notes and actioned. To advise GPs and Consultant colleagues of all decisions made.
- Ensure the MDT meets the standards required.

- GCSE English Language and Mathematics Grade C or Equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- AMSPAR Medical Terminology or relevant experience
Skills & Experience
Essential criteria
- Similar experience in NHS/Healthcare Provider Role
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
Communication & Interpersonal
Essential criteria

- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Able to present information accurately
