Job overview

The post holder will provide a professional, competent administrative service to the Patient Safety Team. The post holder will provide timely and professional administrative support for the Datix Risk Management System which will include updating and maintenance of the Datix system, data management, organising meetings and to be a point of contact for the Trust in regard to the Datix system.

Main duties of the job

1. To deal with all written and verbal (face to face, electronic or phone) enquiries effectively and responsively, deciding upon and initiating appropriate follow up action required promptly or referral.

2. Provide first line support to all Datix Users within the Trust in relation to any problems that may arise, where possible actioning these.

3. Responsible for supporting the Patient Safety Team with the organisation and scheduling of staff training, awareness sessions, and PSIRF Response meetings.

4. Ensure that users have the right permissions in respect of the Datix modules they are required to access, whilst maintaining adequate security and confidentially.

5. To ensure accuracy and completeness of data fields in Datix to ensure full and accurate records.

6. Support the Datix Business Analyst in the maintenance of the Datix system such as merging duplicate contacts to ensure efficiency and integrity of data held within the system.

7. Undertake routine system maintenance as directed by the Datix Business Analyst.

8. To provide access to Datix after a user’s initial training and give ongoing support where necessary.

9. Daily review of the Datix inbox and to action or escalate.

10. The post holder must maintain high levels of confidentiality over the matters they are dealing with and correspondence they will be privy too.

  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent standard

Knowledge and Training

Experience

  • Evidence of relevant related administrative experience
