Job overview

We are currently recruiting Health Records Clerk for 4.73 WTE. 37.5 hours per week to join the Health Records Service Department.  The posts are fixed term 12 months positions, working part-time up to full-time 37.5 hours per week.  The department is open 7 days a week from 06.00 to 18.30.  The hours of duty are flexible, with cover for late shifts, weekends and Bank Holidays on a rotational basis.  

 

The roles are working across 4 sites within Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.  These include Library Warehouse, Russells Hall Hospital, Corbett Hospital and Guest Hospital.  Those with a driving licence over the age of 21, will be added to the driving rota for delivery of urgent and elective casenotes.  vehicle is supplied for this purpose. 

 

The candidates are required to have GCSE Maths and English Language Grade C (or equivalent).  Previous clerical/admin experience is welcomed.  Experience of using Microsoft IT systems, good organisational skills and the ability to work in a demanding/heavy lifting warehouse environment are also essential criteria for this post.

 

 

 

 

 

Main duties of the job

Health Records Clerk’s role, provide patient case notes for patients appointments within the Trustincluding emergency and elective appointments. 

Successful candidates will be trained in Medical Records main warehouse librarypicking and filing patient case notes.  Once fully trained in in the warehouse tasks (approx. 6 months), training will be given for reception desk duties within the Trust being first point of contact for patients when attending for their appointment, making sure all demographic details are correct on the PAS system.
