Job overview

An exciting opportunity is available for you to join the Same Day Emergency Care Unit.  

We are looking for an individual to join our team who has excellent organisational and communication skills and is able to work flexibly. 

Communicate effectively with other members of the health care team, patients and relatives. 

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of care within The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.

 

Main duties of the job

To provide Reception cover and comprehensive administration support within the Same Day Emergency Care Unit. 

Working on a flexible rota basis working 12hrs a day covering 7 days a week between the hours of 7am and 10.30pm.

To assist nursing staff with clerical duties relating to the admission, discharge and transfer of patients. 

Communicate effectively with other members of the health care team, patients and relatives.

Qualifications & Education

Essential criteria
  • GCSE or equivalent at Grade C / Level 4-9 to include Maths and English
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent

Knowledge and Training

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of Microsoft offices packages
Desirable criteria
  • Proficient in the use of NHS systems eg; Sunrise, OASIS

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous administrative and clerical experience
Desirable criteria
  • Previous relevant experience in a similar role
