Main duties of the job

This post works across the professions of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. The post holder will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist, but will autonomously manage their own caseload, providing direct Therapy interventions for identified patient groups.

They will be responsible for the entire patient journey from assessment through treatment to discharge. They will work closely with patients, their families and/or carers, Therapy colleagues and the wider MDT, as well as liaising externally with colleagues in social services, Primary care, community services, voluntary organisations and other agencies as required. They will support Band 3 Therapy Assistants working in their clinical area.
