Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team on Ward B5, a fast-paced and rewarding ward specialising in Urology, Gynaecology, and Short Stay Surgical Procedures.
Ward B5 provides high-quality care to patients undergoing a wide range of planned and emergency procedures, with a strong focus on safe, efficient patient flow and excellent patient experience. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop a broad range of surgical nursing skills within a supportive and collaborative team.
Fixed Term Posts Available:
37.50 hours per week until 28.02.27
36 hours per week until 12.06.27
37.50 hours per week until 26.06.27
Main duties of the job
A role with the ward offers a great opportunity to gain broad acute experience and develop your personal and professional confidence in supporting a wide range of patients of differing levels of dependency.
There are plenty of learning opportunities and a competency package is offered to help develop knowledge, skills and confidence surrounding all aspects of this specialist area.

- First Level Registered Nurse with NMC
- Nursing Degree
Experience

- Experience of working in an acute hospital setting
- Substantial post registration experience
- Completion of preceptorship/support skills
- Intravenous drug administration skills

- Computer literate
- Venepuchure/cannulation skills
