Therapy Lead Inpatients-Permanent 37.5 Hours
The post holder will be Be accountable for the operational delivery of a high quality therapy service to patients within their clinical team directing resources appropriately to support the delivery of Trust targets and objectives.
· Be responsible for leadership across Inpatient Therapy service including governance lead, quality and safety lead, workforce and education lead to be agreed upon appointment and subject to change dependent upon service need.
· Provide management and leadership of staff within the clinical area, including recruitment, appraisal, CPD and performance.
· Work with Head of Therapy to support and facilitate staff to innovate and improve services to meet the changing needs of patients whilst ensuring the seamless provision across all services.
· Work in partnership with divisional and Directorate colleagues, partners, commissioners and other external agencies to develop collaborative, integrated systems of work.
Participate in 7 day and out of hours working patterns as required to deliver service
Main duties of the job
Take the lead in ensuring that the specialist Therapy services that are provided by the clinical team are delivered to high standards in accordance with any national/local priorities, policies and guidance.
Develop patient centred integrated services in line with best practice. Lead on the development of innovative models of care to meet the needs of patients and the Trust.
Ensure all therapy services provided by the clinical team are delivered in accordance with service level agreements and service specifications.
To be responsible for an allocated budget, including accountability for expenditure for staff overtime costs, expenses sign off and procurement of supplies.
Demonstrate strong leadership to all staff with particular reference to innovation, motivation and support.
Manage capacity and demand across the services with other leads reconfiguring teams as required and contributing to workforce planning.
Lead on designated areas of development within inpatient therapy services and in partnership with other colleagues internal and external to the Trust.
Provide highly specialised advice to the multidisciplinary team and be directly accountable for the delivery of the clinical service provided by the team.
Participate in clinical activity within clinical team as is needed to ensure the safe and effective functioning of the team.

- Current professional registration with HCPC
- Masters degree or Equivalent experience

- Extensive clinical experience in an area relevant to the clinical team
