An exciting opportunity has arisen for an efficient, experienced and well organised receptionist to join the our busy fracture clinic in the Trauma and Orthopaedic Outpatient Department. 

Applicants should have previous administrative experience, be well organised and have the ability to prioritise workload as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential with the ability to process and generate routine correspondence. 

Main duties of the job

To provide an efficient high quality reception service to all patients and visitors to the Orthopaedic Fracture Clinics and general clerical / reception duties as requested for outpatient services.

EDUCATION

Essential criteria
  • GCSE pass in English Language & Maths, or equivalent A – C
Desirable criteria
  • Qualification in basic computer skills

Skills and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working within the NHS
  • Experience in the use of patient record systems
  • Competent in general office skills including filing/photocopying/scanning
Desirable criteria
  • Work in customer care, dealing with the public

Knowledge & Training

Essential criteria
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Willing to undertake any further training to meet the requirements of the role
Desirable criteria
  • Competent in the use of photocopiers/scanners

  • Clear communication skills oral and written
