Exciting Opportunity: Senior Physiotherapist – Community Neurology Rehabilitation

We are delighted to offer a rare opportunity for a skilled and motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Community Neurology Rehabilitation Team within Dudley Rehab Service .

Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred therapy and works closely within a supportive multidisciplinary team (MDT) to continually enhance our service. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while contributing to service development.

As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will take on key responsibilities including the supervision and development of junior staff and students, as well as leading on aspects of training and service improvement initiatives.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of the Community Neuro Rehabilitation Pathway in Dudley Rehabilitation Service; providing effective and efficient Physiotherapy for a caseload of patients who have long term neurological conditions, including acquired brain injuries, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis and MND . 

Duties will include assessment, therapy (both group and/or individual as appropriate), planning therapy programs, self-management advice and discharge of patients, as well as appropriate delegation of work to assistants and students. Clinical work will be carried out both in patient’s place of residence and clinic settings.

Essential criteria
  • BSc degree in physiotherapy
  • Registered with HCPC
Desirable criteria
  • Masters level qualification or modules or sufficient comparable experience of advance therapy practice

Experience

  • Experience of effectively managing complex patients with a variety of Neuro conditions
  • Comprehensive experience of multi-disciplinary working
  • Experience of Student and junior staff supervision

  • Experience of community working
  • Involvement in research or audit

  • Experience of using patient information computer systems. To be fully IT literate, including accurate keyboard, word processing and data inputting skills
