Additionally, you will engage in clinical supervision and continuous professional development activities and contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement projects.

Main duties of the job
A Senior Neuro Occupational Therapist (Band 6) is responsible for delivering specialist occupational therapy services to adults with neurological conditions, such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other complex neurological disorders.
Key duties include conducting comprehensive assessments of motor, sensory, cognitive, and functional abilities; developing and implementing individualized treatment plans; and coordinating safe and effective discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The role also involves providing expertise in specialist seating and equipment recommendations, managing a defined caseload, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Additionally, the therapist may supervise and support junior staff and students, contribute to service development initiatives, and engage in continuous professional development activities. This position requires HCPC registration and proven experience in neurorehabilitation within an acute or community setting.

- Completed junior rotations in core areas or equivalent rehabilitation experience across a wide variety of clinical settings
- Good knowledge of current best practice of Occupational Therapy in neuro rehabilitation and clinical guidelines
