Senior Speech & Language Therapist- Community Neuro (Maternity cover)

Band 6

Job overview

Are you an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and compassionate leader committed to delivering exceptional care? We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and forward-thinking Speech and Language Therapist to join our Community Neuro Rehabilitation team.

In this role, you will support adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders arising from long-term neurological conditions, providing specialist assessment and evidence-based treatment in outpatient clinics and domiciliary settings. You’ll offer expert training, guidance, and advice to colleagues, patients, and carers, ensuring knowledge of communication and swallowing disorders is disseminated throughout the team.

As a senior clinician, you will lead and supervise junior staff, participate in service evaluations and audits, and collaborate closely with the inpatient SLT service in Dudley to ensure seamless transitions of care. As an autonomous practitioner, you will manage a complex caseload, taking responsibility for assessments, interventions, and evaluating outcomes. This is your chance to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team, shape service development, and make a lasting impact through high‑quality, patient-centred rehabilitation.

Informal visits are warmly encouraged, come and meet our dedicated team and learn more about the service.

Please note: the advert may close early if we receive a high volume of applications.
