Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents. Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit was completed in 2018, extension of a Neonatal Unit and an approved plan to build a brand new, state of the art Emergency Department which will commence in 2021

We are looking for two highly motivated individuals with a passion for developing Community Clinical practice to join our evolving Community division team, these 2 roles are within the Urgent Care/Intermediate Care Group and the locality/place based care group.
As a care group manager you will be working across the borough of Walsall within acute and community with a focus toward effective and efficient delivery of community services by ensuring processes are in place to meet quality standards and performance indicators.
As part of your on-going continual professional development within the role of care group manager you will be required to build and maintain a portfolio of evidence of your practice incorporating a Business model of assessment commensurate with the expectations of the role. This will be reviewed regularly by Deputy Directors of Operations and at annual IPDR.
Applicants should be a Band 7 or above with significant experience in an acute or Community role, they should have experience of leading and managing teams, research, audit and bench marking, utilising knowledge to improve community pathways and quality of care.
Excellent time management, the ability to work autonomously and under time constraints along with excellent communication skills and working with the wider multidisciplinary team are also essential skills for this role.
