Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents. Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit was completed in 2018, extension of a Neonatal Unit and an approved plan to build a brand new, state of the art Emergency Department which commenced in 2021

Band 2 Admin Support (12 Months Fixed Term)
The role will require attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of the medical support secretary duties are completed. This will entail reviewing and filing of medical correspondence into medical notes, tracking and obtaining medical notes to assist the medical secretary and/or management team, assisting with the booking of appointments (where necessary), ensuring a patient focused approach to all aspects of the role. The role may include covering the Cath Lab reception desk at times in a patient facing role.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Photocopying, faxing and printing.
Filing (personal, departmental, patient information).
Handling of post.
Requesting, retrieving, sorting and handling of patient notes and other information as required.
Arrange appointments for patients as required.
Order and maintain levels of stock to include completion of requisitions and handling of petty cash if necessary.
Request stationary and other consumables relevant to local base using e-procurement system and/or non-stock in line with financial standing regulations.
Maintain order within the work environment.
