Job overview
To deliver an effective and competent level of receptionist and/or clerical support and consistently deliver a “client-focused” service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships.

Main duties of the job

To prepare orthotic clinic sheets, patient information sheets and orthoses ensuring all are accurate To provide reception service for patients that is efficient and welcoming To make appointments for patients to attend the orthotic clinics, also to cancel and re-book clinics as the need arises and arrange their transport when appropriate. To accurately add, amend and retrieve information on the computerised patient management and orthotic ordering systems To make prescription charges and issue receipts or note proof of exemption from such charges where appropriate To order, progress chase, receive and dispatch orthoses

Essential criteria
- Minimum of NVQ 3 in business and administration or significant provable previous experience
Desirable criteria
- Good all-round knowledge of computers with the ability to quickly adapt and learn new systems. ( Clinical Web Portal, PAS, Microsoft Office)
- Excellent communication skills
