Job overview

We are currently looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated forward thinking individual to work within the Support Team of our busy Estates & Facilities Department.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant must have a good understanding of Engineering Services particularly quality aspects of service provision. An appreciation of the Health and Safety elements within the work environment would be advantageous.

Your primary role will be to assist the Assurance Manager in assessing “Best Practice” in all areas of Engineering Services within the Health Care environment.

To support these initiatives, experience of NHS Premises Assurance Model (PAM) or BSI EN 18001 would be welcomed. Basic computer skills are vital for the role which will include the use of Microsoft application and bespoke programmers such as Planet FM

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to work flexibly for an average 37.5 hours between the hours of 08:00 – 17:00 hours as the service demands.

Essential criteria
  • Suitable Degree qualification in IM&T. BTEC in mechanical or electrical service or NVQ level 2 with key skills in building services, plumbing or electrical engineering. Or NVQ level 2 CIPS foundation.
  • Experience of working in an engineering department with knowledge of engineering and building equipment.
  • Computer literate: proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Outlook etc
