Job overview
This is an exciting time to join the team in Cardiac Investigations here at North Bristol NHS Trust. The Consultant team has recently been increased so we now offer complex device implantation and follow up to include CRT-p and CRT-d. We hold BSE Departmental Accreditation for Adult TTE, TOE and as a designated training centre. Along with Consultant appointments we have invested in the infrastructure with a replacement catheter lab commissioned in April 2023. We have a robust replacement programme for our echo machines with four new GE machines delivered within the last 18 months and a new reporting system coming online.
We are looking for cardiac physiologists with a high level of experience and knowledge either within cardiac devices or echocardiography.
A BSc Cardiac Physiology qualification or equivalent is essential. A suitable qualification in cardiac devices (BHRS, EHRA or IBHRE) or echocardiography (BSE or equivalent) is essential.
Members of the cardiac physiology team will be expected to rotate around areas of cardiology such as the catheter labs (angiograms, PCI, PPCI, IVUS, OCT, FFR), exercise tolerance testing, tilt tests, tape analysis, device follow up, remote monitoring follow up and device implant to keep up existing skills so experience in those areas would be an advantage.
RCCP/AHCS/HCPC registrations are desirable.
The post is for 37.5 hrs/week, worked over 6 days on an 8am to 6pm working pattern.
