We are seeking to recruit a hands-on operational manager to join the management team within Centralised Outpatient Services at North Bristol NHS Trust.
Applicants should have experience of staff management (recruitment, appraisals, absence management, staff rotas etc) and knowledge of outpatient services (demand and capacity, booking of appointments, clinic utilisation, reporting etc).

We seek individuals who have very good IT knowledge of the Microsoft environment and Patient Administrative Systems. You will use your extensive administrative/outpatient experience to oversee performance of outpatient activity, including leading on cross-departmental meetings.
We are looking for you to bring your knowledge and experience to help lead our teams, which include the Booking Team, Patient Contact Centre and Reception Team. You should also have a willingness to learn and help improve and/or implement new systems and projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience of the BNSSG Patient Access Policy and Government and Trust performance targets.

- Higher Level Education (post grad diploma ) or equivalent experience
- IT literate to include Excel and Microsoft Office
Work Experience

- Experience of working in a junior managerial or senior administrative role within the NHS or similar organisation
- Experience of staff management
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary and busy team environment

- Experience of reporting systems such as Qlik Sense and The Data Quality Tracker
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

- The ability to work under pressure within a stressful environment, prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines
- Experience in meeting objectives and deadlines.
- Must be computer literate with excellent IT skills especially Excel with the ability to extract and interpret data in relation to performance targets
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Knowledge of Government Performance targets and BNSSG Patient Access Policy
