Job overview
North Bristol Trust, one of the UK’s largest NHS Hospital Trusts is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated full time radiographer to join the MRI team, which carries out approx. 30,300 MRI examinations per year. Based at Southmead Hospital, you will be responsible for supporting the MRI management team to deliver MR services for patients and users in North Bristol NHS Trust, ensuring the delivery is professional and patient centered.
Main duties of the job
The MRI Band 6 Radiographer position is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team within a busy Imaging department. Southmead Hospital is a regional Trauma Centre and has Regional specialities including Neurosurgery and Urology. North Bristol Trust has four MRI scanners on the main hospital site and one located at a community site.
Potential candidates should preferably have at least two years’ experience of working within the MR modality and have at least 2 years of post-qualifying experience. This is not a MR training post. Excellent communication and computer skills are essential.
A Post grad qualification would be an advantage.
You will be working on a rota basis within the MRI team covering 7.30am - 9.30pm days Monday to Friday along with some weekend work. Band 6 radiographers also have to participate in a 24 hour on-call service.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We are looking for enthusiastic hardworking individuals with a `can do` attitude to support the MRI team. The successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, and will be able to perform a wide range of MRI examinations and have experience in inpatient, outpatient and Emergency department scanning. Evidence of CPD required. Both part time and full time applications will be considered.
