Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Administrator to work with the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Clinical Nurse Specialist team in Bristol Heart Institute.
The successful candidate will have strong administration and organisational skills to be able to support and be an integral member of the team, ensuring the efficient running of the service.
This role will involve communication with patients and carers, the wider MDT and other specialist services to allow the team to case manage and deliver a well coordinated pathway of care to those accessing the service.

Main duties of the job
- Reviewing telephone and email queries for CNS team.
- To liaise with and act as a point of contact for clinical and non-clinical staff via telephone and email
- Typing of CNS correspondence letters and filing
- To assist with preparation of the Outpatient clinics, liaising with other Trusts/ departments, chasing results and reports in time for clinic appointments.
- Liaising with NHS trusts across the South Wales and South West CHD Network
- Data collecting and auditing

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE, grade C or above (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths
Desirable criteria
- Qualified in word processing or audio typing (or equivalent)
Knowledge and Experience
Desirable criteria
- Clerical/administrative experience/Secretarial
- Previous NHS experience
- Understanding of specialist medical terminology
- Knowledge of NHS policies and/or procedures
