Job overview

This role can also be offered with flexible working hours or on a part-time basis. If you have childcare commitments or can't work on a specific weekday, we can accommodate this.  We would also consider part time hours.

Main duties of the job

Your main duties will be:

  • Actively monitoring and managing energy use across our entire estate.
  • Developing and implementing decarbonisation and energy saving projects.
  • Overseeing our building management system maintenance contractor.
  • Management of our energy assets including solar PV, district heating network and CHP engines

This role would be perfect for someone with:

  • Some practical experience of managing energy in an organisation.

  • Looking to step up and take on more responsibility

In exchange, we will offer:-

  • 27 days annual leave + bank holidays off
  • 20.6% market leading employer pension contributions - one of the most generous pension schemes in the UK!
  • Access to NHS discounts
  • Paid training opportunities
  • Strong integration with the wider estates team.
  • An organisation at the forefront of efforts to decarbonise.
  • A network of professional peers in other NHS organisations
