Job overview

Due to an expansion of the Lung Cancer service, we are looking to appoint an additional administrator to support the Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist team. Candidates must have good administration skills with excellent communication  skills, ideally with a good understanding of NHS healthcare systems and processes.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a growing team to carry out a varied range of tasks to assist with the CNS workload; including managing phone calls, arranging blood tests, preparing documents for clinics, providing patients with information and general coordination of their pathway. This position will require development of ones knowledge in a number of areas such as the diagnosis and treatment  of lung cancer patients. You will be involved in all aspects of the departments work, learning all the relevant systems, processes and possibly supporting and working with the wider cancer services team such as the Macmillan support workers and other Allied Health Professionals.
