Job overview
We are looking for two receptionists to join our fantastic team.
The successful candidate will be welcoming the patients and their families/carers , assist check in, maintaining patient records, supporting the nurses and medical staff in administrative tasks, answering the phone, and liaising with other areas for clerical needs.
The post holder would need to provide a courteous, efficient and professional service, making a valuable contribution to support patient care. The successful candidates would be the first contact point for all visitors and members of the multi-professional team, so good interpersonal skills are essential.
We are looking for a well-organised, enthusiastic individual to work in our face pace environment within our dynamic team, with a good working knowledge of IT to help us to ensure our trust care values are met and that care is delivered to the highest standard.
You will need to be able to apply a methodical approach to a varying workload . You should be self-motivated, have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and have the ability to work on your own as well as part of a busy team where the work can be deadline driven.
Main duties of the job
Act as the focal point of administrative communications for outpatients , taking all telephone enquiries and acting as initial point of contact for routine callers. Ensure that all callers and visitors are attended to courteously and promptly. Enter patient's data onto PAS especially or assist with the self check in kiosk. To trace patient notes and organise them methodical manner, including printing patient front sheets and labels and filling if needed. Ensure patient notes are sent for coding/scanning in a timely manner, and all activity is recorded on the computer system. Dealing with in coming and out going post in a timely manner and ensure in coming post is distributed as required. Completion of daily cash up of clinics. Will be on the rota to work off site at our bristol diagnostic hub.
