Job overview
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust invite applications for a post-CCT fellowship in abdominal and gynaecological radiology with non-vascular intervention.
Weekend work 1:5 weekends Saturday/Sunday from 10am-6pm to cover acute imaging . No overnight on call.
Main duties of the job
Bristol Royal Infirmary is a high-volume centre hosting multiple tertiary MDTs every week including upper and lower GI, hepatobiliary, gynae-oncology and neuroendocrine. As the oncology centre we offer a wide range of non-vascular intervention such as liver ablation and TACE. In addition to oncological work there is the option to explore pelvic floor imaging and placental MRI.
This role will involve supporting the five abdominal radiologists and three gynae radiologists in US, MRI and CT reporting as well as MDT preparation and non-vascular intervention. The position is based at the BRI.
There would be provision for one session of acute CT/MRI reporting per week and one plain film or general ultrasound session per week. The remaining sessions would be for specialist work. There are interventional sessions every day including ultrasound and CT guided procedures, biopsies and drains.
