Job overview

Are you passionate about working with children?  Do you have an interest in hospital work?

Come and join our friendly and dynamic Children’s Speech and Language Therapy team in Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.  We work with acutely unwell children from across the South West of England and from Wales, with children who need more ongoing neuro-rehabilitation on an inpatient basis and with a small number of children who attend the hospital for outpatient appointments.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, supportive and family-centred individual who enjoys working as part of a team.  You will have previous experience of working in people-facing roles and as part of a team.  Experience of working with children with additional needs would be excellent, particularly knowledge and experience of alternative and augmentative communication systems.

This new role will be split between setting up robust and functional administrative systems, supporting the clinical work of the team and taking on family-facing tasks, such as booking appointments and dealing with telephone queries.

If you would like to know more, we’d love to hear from you.  Please call 0117 342 8498.

Please note that SLTA posts are usually heavily subscribed so we may need to close applications early.
