Based in the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, this role involves supporting the Play team by engaging in play activities with our patients and their siblings.
Main duties of the job
• Welcoming patients, siblings and their families to the Activities Centre or ward playrooms.
• Engaging in play activities with patients and their siblings, under the guidance of the play team.
• Engage in play with patients at the bedside when necessary.
• Encouraging patients and their siblings to participate in play activities.
• Helping to keep toys and equipment clean, storing them away tidily.
• Setting up and packing away the Activities Centre before and after sessions.
• Helping with the preparation of activities, such as themed craft sessions.
