Main duties of the job

We are looking for dynamic and motivated candidates with experience in the Emergency Medicine and with an appetite for safe and effective patient care. You will be expected to function effectively in a fast paced and constantly changing environment without compromising essential standards of care and professionalism.
You will need to be flexible, enthusiastic and passionate about Emergency Medicine

Working for our organisation

North Bristol Trust is a large teaching hospital and is at the forefront of academic and nursing excellence. The ED is one of the busiest in the South West. As a Major Trauma Centre (MTC)  the ED has a 6 bedded resuscitation area with a nursing ratio of 1:2, a majors area with 14 cubicles and a ratio of 3:1, an ambulatory/observation unit and a dedicated minor injuries facility, including a unit for children, which is open 24 hours a day.

We are fortunate to work in a purpose built unit in the heart of a new hospital and enjoy delivering care in this outstanding facility.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Your main roles will entail:

Assessment of ambulance and walk in patients

Delivering safe care to all patients

Working within the trauma team

Working closely with all members of the ED team
