Trosolwg o'r swydd

This exciting new post is ideal for an experienced Dietitian with expertise in Gastroenterology, who will drive our Trust wide gastroenterology service. You will work closely with the Nutrition Team, the gastroenterology ward and the Trust’s dietetic department as part of a dynamic and supportive team in a busy district general hospital. The post will focus on:

  • Acute inpatient Gastroenterology, Critical Care and Parenteral Nutrition responsibilities
  • Nutrition Team liaison to support decision making in complex nutrition support
  • gastroenterology outpatient clinic
  • direct line management responsibilities
  • Service develop and quality improvement projects

There will be an opportunity to further develop clinical and professional skills such as FODMAP training, and ongoing professional development, managerial and leadership skills. 

We are a friendly team and offer great opportunities for learning and support through clinical supervision, peer learning and CPD opportunities including supporting B & C student placements. Our unique, integrated acute and community Nutrition and Dietetic Department consists of over 40 members of staff based at 4 locations across the county. Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner and act as a source of clinical expertise in the area of gastroenterology for inpatient and outpatient work.
  • Provide specialised assessment, treatment and support of patients in critical care and in intestinal failure requiring dietetic treatment with other members of the dietetic team
  • Provide supervisory support for the rotational Band 5 posts within the Trust
  • Work as part of the dietetic team to provide a high quality, evidence based dietetic service to inpatients and outpatients of Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
  • Provide support for administrative personnel, dietitians, dietetic assistants, and student dietitians across the Trust.

Participate and lead in the development of service and quality improvement initiatives including audit and research
