We are pleased to create a post for a committed self-motivated podiatrist to join our team who has excellent wound care skills or wishes to continue to develop their wound care experience.
You must have knowledge and skills in treating patients with complex wounds and will be required to develop your clinical skills, as well as supporting others to develop theirs. This would be via placements or study days to maintain and advance the staffs wound care knowledge.
Buckinghamshire Podiatry are developing a Musculoskeletal High-Risk foot clinic to improve foot off-loading using our RS Scanner led by our MSK High Risk Lead, this will support the High-Risk podiatry patient care management.
The post holder will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as enthusiasm for contributing to the service provided by this Integrated Trust. Our team meets monthly for staff meetings and weekly for clinical supervision and you would be required to take an active part in these sessions.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
- The post holder will provide professional and clinical leadership on the strategic development, planning and operational delivery of the podiatry wound care services primary and secondary settings in Buckinghamshire.
- The post holder will act as a source of expertise with wound care knowledge and skills in the holistic assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with complex wound care conditions.
- The post holder will deliver evidence-based podiatry interventions and advice that will reduce the need for acute interventions and thereby contribute to the maintenance of patient mobility and independence.
- The post holder will work closely with the Head of Service, other Podiatry Leads and other HCP’s to ensure the provision of a high quality and equitable service across the County.
- The post holder will work closely with the Podiatry Leads to develop treatment planning, off-loading and risk prevention in the care of “high-risk” and wound care patients.
- To work as an effective member of the Podiatry Service, adhering to Service, Trust and HCPC policies, strategies and objectives.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

- BSc (Hons) with Local Anaesthesia Certificate
- Diploma level Specialist training or equivalent
- Experience of Leadership/Management
- Evidence of CPD and post graduate training
- Member of the Royal College of Podiatrists
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

- Candidates must hold a current driving licence and be able to drive as they will be expected to move between locations across the County
EXPERIENCE

- Significant post graduate experience and competence of treating a wide range of patients including complex wound care
- Experience of ESP including x-ray interpretation, MRI
- Experience of triaging and onward referral
- IT skills to aid computer entry requirements and e-mail communication
- Experience of staff management and team development
