Job overview

Due to an expanding portfolio of research trials within Buckinghamshire NHS Trust (BHT)  we are delighted to be offering the opportunity to join our Clinical Trials Pharmacist. This post will see you work across a portfolio of studies alongside both our nursing and medical teams over a variety of specialities such as surgery, cancer, critical care and haematology etc.

We are are looking for candidate who can work with our pharmacy and research colleagues  to support the successful delivery of clinical trials undertaken at BHT.

You will need to have a thirst for continual development with a desire to learn new skills along with an eye for detail. Our clinical trials provide care to both inpatient and outpatient participants across numerous clinical locations within the BHT

 

Therefore we are looking for creative and innovative team players to join our department, who enjoy networking and building relationships with pharmacy colleagues and members of the multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for providing support to ensure activities within the pharmacy department are managed in accordance with relevant legislation and of high-quality.

This post includes administrative duties, providing  support to the  pharmacy clinical trials team with an increasing portfolio of work with the view to develop more pharmacy related skills (e.g. NVQ 2) for the right candidate.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, members of the Trust research teams and members of the trial Sponsors teams e.g. Clinical Research Assistants (CRAs)
