Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Lead on the development of long-term capital plans and procurement strategies for the whole Trust site, plant and infrastructure, many of which are on-going and inter-related.

Develop an Operational Plan, for delivery of the approved development schemes linked to the Trust’s Estate Strategy, Master Plan and Integrated Business Plan.

Relevant professional qualification
Budget and Construction Cost Management
Database and Spreadsheets

NHS/Public sector Procurement
Current Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) & New Engineering Contract(NEC) forms of Contract

Experience

Essential criteria

Project management experience
Experience in a healthcare setting

Desirable criteria

Record of advising on and implementing Health and Safety regimes for construction and engineering contracts within a ‘live’ (occupied) environment

Skills

In the use of Computerised Design System (CAD)
In the use of surveying tools and equipment
IT skills – ECDL or similar
