Job overview
Working as part of of the Pharmacy clinical trials team, at both Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville sites, to support the running of clinical trials involving medications. This role involves working with teams both inside and outside of pharmacy to ensure that clinical trials are run safely and efficiently within Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered with GPHC
- Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT)
Desirable criteria
- Formal GCP training with current certification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Registered member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Accredited Checker (or willing to undertake the course and to be completed within one year of the appointment)
Desirable criteria
- Writing Standard Operating Procedures
- Hospital experience
- Clinical Trials experience
Skills and knowledge
Essential criteria
- Communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner (written)
- Able to work to deadlines
- Work on own initiative and be capable of making decisions.
- Recognise limits of own competencies and when to refer and seek advice from colleagues.
Desirable criteria
- Able to supervise and train others
- Identify the need for SOPs and assist in preparation and implementation of SOPs
- Organise tasks efficiently and delegate appropriately.

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

- Cross site working
- Willingness to adapt to special requirements i.e. handling of cytotoxic drugs

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
