Main duties of the job

Who Should Attend?

  • Individuals with previous care experience interested in becoming a Nursing Associate Apprentice at CUH
  • Individuals with no previous care experience, who are interested in starting their career as a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) with a view to applying for a Nursing Associate Apprenticeship at CUH (having gained a minimum of 6 months HCSW experience here)

Working for our organisation

Apprenticeships provide candidates with:

  • a route to a career as a Registered Professional with all tuition fees paid by the Trust
  • a combination of academic and work-based learning. You receive paid study time to attend university, and your course fees are paid by CUH. You can earn, learn and be free from university debt!
  • On qualifying, earning a salary of entry pay starts around £27,485, rising with experience to roughly £30,162, Pa pro rata, plus unsocial hours allowance where applicable (for night shifts, weekend working, public holidays)
  • Receive a 12-month preceptorship programme post qualifying
