The Radiopharmacy Department at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join our friendly and dynamic team, providing a high-quality radiopharmaceutical service. Reporting to the Radiopharmacy Head of Quality and a key member of the Radiopharmacy Senior Leadership Team, this role will influence and drive organisational and workforce developments within the Radiopharmacy department. For the right candidate who demonstrates an aptitude for the role, we offer further training to support future career development.
The CUH strives to innovate and improve care to patients. You will be part of a team of highly professional and dedicated staff whose aim is to provide an excellent, patient focus service. The prime function of the unit is the preparation of diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals, in a safe and efficient manner according to Good Manufacturing Practice and National Standards.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Radiopharmacy Senior Leadership Team; this role will influence and drive organisational and workforce developments within the Radiopharmacy department. You will be responsible for development of all the workforce training within Radiopharmacy services.
You will play a key role in supporting the Chief Radiopharmacist/Head of Radiopharmacy to ensure effective and efficient management of services and resources, through the provision of strategic leadership, influence drawing support from HR for workforce development.
In particular, you will have accountability to drive professional change, redesign, efficiency and productivity across services on behalf of the Radiopharmacy Senior Team; to exemplify the values and behaviours of CUH and take action to embed them throughout; to play a key role in the management, development and service improvement agenda ensuring delivery of a Leadership and Management Development Plan for Radiopharmacy services; leading, strengthening and embedding partnership working with stakeholders such as professional organisations.
You will also take a strategic lead on cross-organisational professional priorities, and lead and/or participate in Radiopharmacy Service- wide projects and change initiatives that support delivery of the Radiopharmacy Services objectives.
You will be a member of the Radiopharmacy Senior Leadership Team, and will have a remit of support for all staff within Radiopharmacy services.

Essential criteria
- Pharmacy or Science Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
- BTEC Pharmaceutical Sciences/NVQ 3 or equivalent
