We are keen for someone to join us on a permanent part-time basis as an assistant to our rehabilitation team at the Emmeline Centre for Hearing Implants based at Addenbrookes Hospital. 

Our rehabilitation team comprises of specialist Teachers of the Deaf and Speech and Language Therapists. The team support patients with a range of listening challenges on their hearing journey. This post offers a great opportunity to provide input to a range of areas in our team delivery including direct patient support, clinical assistance and administrative tasks. 

We are particularly interested in speaking to individuals who have some prior experience of working with deaf individuals. However, we are keen to hear from anyone who has an interest in the post.  If this is you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Main duties of the job

1.    To independently carry out equipment related clinical appointments to support the paediatric and adult rehabilitation teams.

2.    To liaison with patients and families when they have any equipment concerns under the guidance of senior rehabilitation staff.

3.    To help deliver joint audiology appointments by supporting the audiological testing of children as a second tester.

4.    To be responsible for providing administrative support for both paediatric and adult rehabilitation Teams.
