We are seeking compassionate, motivated Band 6 Midwives to join our award-winning maternity service at The Rosie Hospital. Working within one of the UK's leading maternity and tertiary referral centres, you will provide safe, personalised and evidence-based care to women, birthing people and their families across pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
The Rosie offers a unique environment with a state-of-the-art Birth Centre, specialist services, one of the largest neonatal units in the UK and a strong commitment to staff development, innovation and research.

Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Midwife, you will work as an autonomous practitioner providing high-quality care throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period.
You will coordinate care, recognise and escalate maternal and neonatal deterioration, support informed decision-making and deliver personalised, trauma-informed care.
The role includes providing day-to-day clinical leadership, acting as a role model for junior staff and students, supporting multidisciplinary working and contributing to workforce development.
You will be expected to participate in maternity safety initiatives, audit, quality improvement and service development activities whilst maintaining excellent clinical documentation and professional standards.
We are seeking candidates with strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills, a commitment to reducing health inequalities and a passion for continuously improving outcomes for women, babies and families.

Essential criteria
- Registered Midwife.
- Up to date professional portfolio, demonstrating on-going professional development
Desirable criteria
- Diploma /Degree or equivalent in Midwifery.
Experience

- Experience working across a range of maternity settings.
- Experience supporting students and junior staff.
- Experience participating in audit, quality improvement or service development activities.
