Job overview

Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Occupational Health (10PAs), at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

Occupational Health and Wellbeing is an established SEQOHS accredited Occupational Health service providing services to Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, University of Cambridge and other local organisations.

The successful candidate will be joining our multidisciplinary team and be expected to provide a range of occupational health services to healthcare, biomedical, industry and higher education establishments. They will also be expected provide supervision to trainees, undertake training activities and contribute to policy.

Applicants are required to be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
