Job overview
Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5/ST6+) in Ophthalmology (Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery) to commence from February 2026 for a period of 6 months with the possibility of extension.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will receive extensive exposure to Oculoplastic, Adnexal & Orbital Surgery. There will be opportunity for research and the post holder will be actively encouraged to engage in audit. There is also close liaison with Neurosurgery, Dermatology (including Mohs’ micrographic surgery), Plastics, Maxillofacial Surgery, ENT and Oncology.
In order to be considered it is essential that applicants have FRCOphth part 2 or equivalent, previous exposure to Oculoplastic/Adnexal Surgery and completion of core training or equivalent in Ophthalmology.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
