Applications are invited for the post of Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Ophthalmology to commence 7 Aug 2024 to 5 Aug 2025.

The Addenbrooke’s Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus team runs a busy and interesting service. The service is led by Miss Louise Allen, Miss Brinda Muthusamy, Mr John Somner, Miss Elena Novitskaya, with the Fellowship offering the optimum training combination of specialist regional work such as congenital cataract, glaucoma, ROP management, genetics and paediatric neuro-ophthalmology in addition to plenty of child & adult squint management.

Main duties of the job

The service is led by Miss Louise Allen, Miss Brinda Muthusamy, Mr John Somner, Miss Elena Novitskaya, with the Fellowship offering the optimum training combination of specialist regional work such as congenital cataract, glaucoma, ROP management, genetics and paediatric neuro-ophthalmology in addition to plenty of child & adult squint management.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
