Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS). 

This post is available from 01 September 2025 for a period of 6 months.

Main duties of the job

This post is to cover daytime duties including clinics, ward rounds, theatre sessions specialist clinics as well as on-call activities on a rota basis.

We are open to flexible/part-time working arrangements.

During out of hours on-call for the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery department you would be part of the team responsible for ongoing inpatient ward based care and assessment of new patients presenting via the emergency department. This will be in conjunction with a first on-call clinical fellow. During hours, on-call is in conjunction with a DCT (dental core trainee).

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
