Job overview
Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Paediatric ENT Surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This post is available from as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.
Main duties of the job
This is a full time locum post working alongside the 3 current Paediatric ENT Consultants in providing tertiary Paediatric ENT care to the region, and to support the elective recovery of the service.
The ENT department at Addenbrooke’s Hospital provides a comprehensive service for all ENT conditions and consists of 16 Consultants. There are strong, close working relationships with Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care teams, Respiratory Paediatrics, Paediatric Oncology and General Paediatrics.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have achieved CCT or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
