Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine (7PAs) to start as soon as possible until 14 April 2026.
The successful applicant will join the well-established respiratory team at Addenbrooke’s University Hospital in Cambridge. The post will contribute to the tertiary paediatric respiratory service and will join the established team of 5 Consultants in Respiratory Medicine.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be part of the Paediatric Respiratory Team at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and will share Consultant responsibilities relating to the Paediatric Respiratory Service.
You must have experience of the investigation and management of children with simple and complex respiratory disorders. It is desirable for this post, in addition to the above skills, that the post holder has experience in assessment, initiation and long-term management of children requiring ventilatory support at home. Clinical experience in paediatric sleep medicine is also desirable. The Respiratory team is closely aligned with the Paediatric ENT, Paediatric Neuromuscular team, PICU and NICU teams and the scoliosis MDT.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine/ Paediatrics with special interest in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.
