Job overview
Ward T2 are looking for motivated individuals to join our compassionate and driven team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at a time when the ward is still evolving. You will need to be passionate about end of life care showing commitment towards service improvement.
You will work alongside the senior nursing team and Matron to provide strong clinical leadership to the ward facilitating the delivery of high quality, patient centred care.
Working with the existing team in a leadership role you will assist in the enhancement and development in end of life care with a particular focus on the delivery of high-quality care within this environment. You will be in charge of the clinical shift and dedicated to ensuring the planning, implementation and evaluation of high standards of care embedding the Trusts behaviours and values.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well a passion for improvement and be committed to the development of your team. You must be calm and resilient with the ability to deal with difficult conversations ensuring you are able to provide support to junior members of the team. You will actively assist and support the ward manager to ensure the effective management of the ward and deputise in their absence. You must be flexible in being able to work as part of a 24-hour service.

Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and work well within a MDT as well as individually
Have some knowledge or experience in audits and recognise the need for improvement work
Familiar with Health Roster
Skilled at day to day shift coordinating, supporting and mentoring junior staff and escalating changing in patients needs accordingly and communicating in the MDT daily board rounds.
Full training and support will be given to help you progress your skills at band 6 level
