Band 7  Specialist Physiotherapist in Adult Critical Care

Full Time 37.5 hours across seven days.

 We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated individual to joint our adult Critical care physiotherapy team. We are a large multi-speciality hospital supporting both the local population and wider tertiary populations including; respiratory, oncology, haematology, transplant surgery (liver, multi-visceral), neurology, trauma and neurosurgery.

You will be required to partake in our emergency out of hour’s services, which includes our weekend and on-call services.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high standard of physiotherapy to patients in Critical Care: John Farman ICU, Neuro Critical care Unit (NCCU) and follow up of the patients discharged from critical care. To work alongside the senior critical care physiotherapy team in the day-to-day management of the team and in collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team.

You will work within a large team of physiotherapists, led by a Consultant physiotherapist to support the respiratory care, weaning and rehabilitation of a wide range of critically ill patients. You will rotate between the 32-bedded John Farman Intensive Care Unit and the 27-bedded Neurosciences Critical Care Unit.

As a Specialist Physiotherapist you will have responsibilities that would include:

·         Assisting with the planning, delivery and evaluation of the adult critical care physiotherapy service

·         Supervision of staff and students
