Detailed job description and main responsibilities

- Support and develop tailored treatment pathways for children and young people (CYP), ensuring care is responsive to individual needs.
- Provide clinical leadership by applying specialist knowledge and experience in interventions, supporting the team in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Work in partnership with families, carers, and external agencies to achieve person-centred outcomes for CYP, promoting integrated and holistic care.
- Manage and supervise team members, ensuring they receive appropriate clinical and managerial supervision, appraisal, and access to mandatory training.
- Ensure services operate within a robust clinical governance framework, including monitoring standards of care, managing risk, and participating in audits, investigations, and service evaluations.
- Support the Service Manager by deputising when required, contributing to service planning, recruitment, performance monitoring, and the implementation of service improvements.

Education / Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Professional Qualification and Registration appropriate to role. Social Care, Nursing, Mental Health Professional or other Health all relevant
Desirable criteria
- Post qualification continuing professional development, management and or leadership qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience as a professional working with clients with emotional, social or mental health needs and with families and groups
- Experience of staff management and evidence of application of managerial skills and knowledge
- Evidence of successful partnership working with other professional groups
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within Child and Adolescence Mental Health Services
Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
- Evidence of leadership ability, able to influence, involve and develop individuals and teams.
- Evidence of ability to manage workload and ability to prioritise
- Excellent ability to develop effective professional relationships with others, (individuals and groups), both internally and externally
Desirable criteria
- Experience of managing feedback, investigation of complaints or similar
