Our department is in purpose-built accommodation, consisting of four spacious air-conditioned scanning rooms and office space. We have four ultrasound scanners, Philips Epiq, GE Logic 9, a Samsung RS80A and a Siemens Juniper. We are connected to PACS and use an electronic reporting package.

Applicants applying for this trainee post are required to have a relevant science degree.

Main duties of the job

To undergo training in order to perform a wide range of unsupervised vascular ultrasound investigations on patients.

To undergo training in order to produce a clinically diagnostic report from each investigation that may be directly discussed with the referring clinician e.g. single-visit/one-stop clinics.

To assist in the management of the patient workload on a daily basis including prioritising which patients are seen.
