If you are an experienced Band 6 or a Band 5 Registered Physiotherapist looking for a developmental role to take you to your next step in your career, we want to hear from you.
You will be joining our thriving Medical Team at Peterborough City Hospital which consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and support staff, and is responsible for the assessment and treatment of a wide variety of patients to facilitate safe, timely discharges. This role is required to support Respiratory on-call rota.

Main duties of the job
- To enable Physiotherapy to provide Therapy Skills within the inpatient service
- To ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of patient focussed care in line with identified evidence based practice, local and national standards
- To work collaboratively within Multidisciplinary and Multi-agency Teams
- To participate in delegated projects for service development with the team
- To act autonomously in the assessment and treatment of patients within the speciality who may have a complex presentation
- To demonstrate a flexible approach to working in support of the whole in patient/outpatient team
- To undertake weekend working as required within service developments
- To be available to provide Clinical Supervision
- This role entails 80% Clinical Contact and 20% Operational Management as appropriate within team requirements
- To guide Band 5 and support staff in the management and delivery of therapeutic care plans

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registered
- Evidence of post graduate training/qualification relevant to clinical area
- CSP member
- Member of CSP Specialist section – Agile People
- Evidence of CPD
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of leadership or management training
Experience
Essential criteria
- NHS experience working at senior level
- Acute Respiratory skills incl. on call
- Worked within acute inpatient hospital environment
- Multi-Disciplinary Working
- Awareness of change management principles
- Supervising and mentoring junior members of staff and pre registration students
- Experience of developing staff and sharing knowledge
Desirable criteria
- Experience in community-based roles
- Demonstrate active involvement in the audit process
- Undertaking Annual Appraisals
- Ability to demonstrate working with regional/national networks
- Experience of working collaboratively with community teams

- Sound respiratory knowledge
