Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an RN or ODP to join a supportive and welcoming team with multiple positions available for both substantive and secondment roles within Theatres at Peterborough City Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated individual to join our team.

Main duties of the job

This position would suit individuals who have a commitment to developing and enhancing the quality of care provided in the perioperative environment.

To work within a diverse team who support each other to deliver safe and high quality care which is clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate.

We are seeking a highly motivated team worker who is professional, has the ability to inspire others and embrace change. A flexible, can-do attitude is essential.

There are 18 Theatres in PCH providing a range of specialities, Emergencies, Trauma & Elective Orthopaedics, Paediatric surgery, Colorectal and Upper GI Surgery, Ophthalmology, Plastics, ENT, Maxillofacial, Urology, Breast, Gynaecology and Obstetrics.

  • Registered Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner
Desirable criteria
  • 998, Mentorship or equivalent
  • Assessing qualification for NVQ students D32/33 or A1 Award
  • 176/183/N33 or other qualification in Perioperative care

Key Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure in adverse situations
